At the upcoming May Primary Election, Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) will be elected for 2010 - 2012. Download the one-page filing form from the Oregon Secretary of State website by clicking here. Your completed form must be filed with the County Clerk by 5pm on March 9, 2010.
We will have printed copies available in the office and at the February member meeting as well.
As a reminder, by Oregon state law, only elected PCPs can vote for officers of the Yamhill County Democratic Central Committee (Yamhill County Democrats) at the "reorganization" meeting which, again by state law, will be held after the November general election.
We have county precinct maps on the wall in the office (309 NE Third Street, Suite #2, McMinnville) if you want to look up your precinct, or the Clerk's office would help too. (And, of course, it is on your voter registration card!)
Note that on the form, "Candidate Name" must match the name you use on your voter registration so the Clerk's office can match you up to your voter file for address verification, etc.
Then you just have to make sure people vote for you (minimum of three votes required to be valid) at the May election!
