You can also come to our monthly meetings, the third Thursday of each month (check our online calendar).

Be a Precinct Committee Person
The “life blood” of the party, Precinct Committee Persons (or "PCPs") get out the Democratic message to our communities. PCPs have the opportunity to:
- Represent the Democratic Party to Democratic voters that live in your precinct, and represent those voters to the party.
- Participate in the open elections at the county biennial reorganization meetings.
- Run to serve as a delegate to the Congressional District Convention, State Convention and/or the Democratic National Convention.
- Participate in the State Platform Convention.
- Canvass your precinct for Democratic candidates.
- Register voters in your precinct.
To be a Democratic Party PCP:
- You must be a registered Democrat.
- You must either be elected at a primary or ask to be appointed by the party between elections
- You must live in the precinct you live in, or one adjacent to it.
For election, you must fill out the State application and submit to the County Clerk for election at the next primary election. Election information is available from the county clerk, and the candidates name are entered on the ballot.
For appointment, we take a membership vote and notify the County Clerk. You must fill out this application for appointment in between elections and mail to us at our headquarters The clerk determines if the person lives in the precinct, or in an adjacent precinct, and if the individual is a registered Democrat.
Each precinct can have one male and one female committeeperson for every 500 electors in the precinct.
